Default Year in Industry

Hi guys, i'm just beginning to look at Year in Industry placements (for biological sciences) and really i was just wondering if anyone could shed any more light on the whole process? I've noticed that (in the 10 minutes of 'research' I've done) companies like AstraZeneca and Novartis have their own application processes but i've also come across http://www.yini.org.uk which would appear to charge me £25 for what, i'm not sure?

Anyway, i'm beginning to ramble so i'll stop! Really, if anyone could direct me to a good website which explains it all, that'd be great.

yini.org.uk is the way to do it; most companies that offer a yini will send the details of the job to yini.org.uk, then when you pay, and fill in their forms (its basically a cv) they match you to a suitable job

i've just done one (in engineering) so if you have any other questions; just ask
