Hi all,

Just wondered if someone could shed light on how different Oxford colleges view the LNAT test.

I've heard recently that Hertford take particular interest in the LNAT - using it to cut down on the people they interview much more than other colleges.

Does anyone know if there are any colleges which do not take the LNAT so seriously?

It would be great to hear anyones experiences of how the LNAT influenced their application.

I doubt that any one college puts more emphasis on the LNAT than the others, but I think that Oxford (all colleges) does use the LNAT as a factor when shortlisting before interview.

I'm told the essay is more seriously considered by Oxford as a whole than at other universities (except cambridge) but i also know it is not the be all and end all.There doesnt seem to be an official cutoff like other unis seem to have for the MCQ,not at least at my college, as people were interviewed with quite low scores(we found them out after,obviously)

i know a guy who got 14 and got in, so jeff hackney of wadham college doesnt take it seriously obviously, so if u think you might struggle, apply to wadham.
