Anyone Else hoping to Join the Liverpool UOTC?

It's my numer 1 priority when it comes to sports and clubs...

First I was planning on joining the UAS (University Air Squadron (RAF)), but my degree already includes flying and I've learnt that it's extremely difficult to get into, so I'm now aiming at the UOTC (Uni. Officer Training Corps (Army)).

Anyone else interested in it?

Umm, so far we've done navigation, first aids, weapons handling (got our blank tests tomorrow), and some fieldcraft (night marching, setting up camp, how to cook rations, etc).
It's good fun... we've got another fieldweekend this weekend, and it's probably going to rain and be miserable...

The people... they're good fun. Loads of parties, loads of messing around. Of course there's the teabagging, but I won't go into that...

Loads... ummm, buy duck tape (black and green), have a swiss army knife on you all the time, buy transparent waterproof food bags (to keep your small stuff in during nice and wet field weekends), stack up on ketchup and salt packets before you go off for a field weekend... make's your rations not taste like ****...
and above all:
Learn how to down a full pint of guiness and keep it in.

No place for you in the OTC if you're not a good drinker!
Yeah I'm definitely going to join the UOTC. I plan on joining the armed forces after so it should be fun!

Was one of the factors in choosing the unis I have because there are UOTCs nearby
