Medicine application

Hi everyone,

I'm writing on behalf of my younger brother.

I am concerned about how grades are considered to enter into med-school.
He has just finished his GCSE examinations with excellent results. However, he failed his O-Level english examination with a grade D. He will be retaking this test and will most probably achieve a grade A. In addition, he is a spanish applicant.

What I'm worried about is if the universities he applies to will not accept him if they see he has a resit on this paper. I know that institutions like UCL do not accept A Level resits (as it says on their website) however, it does mention anything about the O Level - the English one in particular.

I hope someone can clarify this for me, it will be very much appreciated.
