has anyone recieved or know what the reading list or the required books need for 1st year law


they wont tell you until you get there
at least, that's what happened last year

I'd recommend NOT buying said books...
unless you actually think you'll read them haha
i bought them last year, and never opened either of them...
that was a good £30-40 which could have been better spent on alcohol :rolleyes:
I will second what Epic Win has said, wait til you get to uni, go and have a look at them in the library and waterstones and have a good think about whether you are actually going to use them. Otherwise it is an absolute waste of money.

And you don't want to be wasting your last bit of freedom doing unnecessary reading. You should read with the guidance of the tutors in my opinion otherwise you are going to end up with unjustified inflated ego's like the 3rd years. And nobody likes the 3rd years, even the tutors :wink:

yea definately wait till you get there, see which books the lecturers use most in the seminar readings also, there are usually some that are very general to the module, which tend to be the ones I get, the lecturers are good in recommending two or three especially good ones to choose from.
