Well, there are two routes you can take to 'shock' - you can do it by content, or by medium (-possibly obvious?).
It probably depends on who you want to look at. Are you studying yourself? Family? Friends? Famous people? Maybe once you have chosen your subject matter it will be easier to come up with ideas.
