I'm studying business. What about you?
You say you changed houses, are you heading into your second year?

Re: Roberts Way anyone??I am a semester B Masters student and after the academic year was over, they offered me a new place. I could have stayed in my previous house but thought change is better(Original post by F Ellen)
Nursing.

Re: Roberts Way anyone??Ooh I see, I have a question for you then if that's OK(Original post by Martiantrekker)

I chose Roberts Way because the accommodation people said it usually houses more mature students... did you find this to be the case? I did tick the "quieter area" option where they give older students priority and they did reassure me I'd be in a quiet area. It'd just be nice if I could meet some people who are oldies like me... as I did wonder if I'd made the right decision going into halls (not much of a party person unfortunately) -
Re: Roberts Way anyone??It totally depends on the people you have in the house and they usually are nice enough to cater to your needs. If you want quite then they respect but again it depends on the people you have in the house. In your particular case, the university tries to combine students with similar interests like the ones who want quieter environment. Roberts way is generally peaceful with a little partying here n there along the semester, not like Telford court where sometimes its hard to study due to noise levels.(Original post by F Ellen)

Put my mind at ease a bit at least. I can deal with some partying here and there, don't want to be a complete social failure lol, but I wouldn't be able to cope with frequent high noise levels especially when I'm on placement

Re: Roberts Way anyone??No problem at all(Original post by F Ellen)
Thanks for that

Most of the nursing students in the previous year were in Butler Hall since a friend of mine was staying there so I know. It was socially prohibited to run in the halls or make excessive noise especially during early morning and night because of the placement shift timings. I found Roberts way to be much peaceful in this regard since you practically meet all your house-mates/room-mate almost everyday and can communicate things like that in person instead of notices on freezer or board.
I hope this relieves you more

Thanks. Hope I get on OK. One of my main fears is not getting on with my housemates!
