Exclamation Where can my A-level options lead me?

What degrees and future careers can I go into with my A-level subjects;

-Eng literature
-History
-Economics
-Sociology

I was thinking to do Law or economics. But what else can I do?

Are degrees such as business managment soft? even if you do it at a top uni?
Would I be able to do an computing/ict degree without A2 ict ?
Other degrees? careers? sociology management etc?

(ps. note all economic degrees require AS/A2 maths)

(note: gcse grades - 9 A's & 3 B's)

Sociology is the only weak one, do what you want, your a-levels don't determine what you want to do for the rest of you're life!

i didnt think you had to do maths for economics.

I would say history (if you're interested in it), law or something like PPE maybe if yur into politics and stuff as well (although i guess not as you havent chosen it as an option)

but its up to you really.

I'm pretty sure computing degrees ask for maths, and would maybe like chem or physics there. But i think with those choices, you'd be pretty set for law.

Nope. The top 5 or 10 business schools (Ox, LSE, Warwick, KCL, Lancaster etc) all have very respected Management degrees.

The first three at least. As for ICT, apart from not knowing why you would want to study that () I'm not sure how you would be able to write a good personal statement given your current A-level subjects. Especially seeing as at top 10 schools, the degrees will tend to be more mathematical, computer science type courses.

Oh dear.

To the OP, your A-levels only really stop you from entering mathematical/science degrees, other than that, you can do what you wish to really.

Thanks for all the constructive feedback.

(I'm initially hoping to do law, with my back up economics/or business degree.)
