Default Are these subjects ok?

I am looking to apply for a computer science degree. I have taken ICT, Physics, and Maths as full a-levels, and R.E as an AS. Are these subjects good when applying for CS?

^^ Exactly... Two strong subjects along with a weaker one (in your case ICT) is normally seen as OK...

What about, say, a combination of Bio, Maths, ICT and Literature?

Well you've got maths and that's the important thing. Didn't do A-level biology myself, but I would have thought that's got a reasonable amount of maths in it.

These all at A2?
If your going for 3 A2's make sure your keep maths and bio as a rule of thumb you need 2 "traditional" subjects.
But yes they are fine

Drop ICT, it's seen as soft and will take too much of your time. Take a humanities to give yourself a solid mix .

Not sure about the OP's case, but in mine, the only other subject I can take in that option is Psychology, as French was removed after not enough people applied (they got floods of people going for T&T though).

Take Psychology, it counts as a science within the new spec, and is useful for your artificial intelligence modules (which most universities now do).

This keeps coming up, but I've yet to see a justification for it.

Can you provide any concrete example of how it would be helpful?

It is arguably justifiable for HCI modules, but I fail to see how Pyschology helps with a very Maths heavy subject such as AI.

I think people just assume it's relevant to AI because when you think of AI you think of computer programs trying to act like humans. But really that's just one application of AI.

I did Psychology A level, and can't say it ever helped me in my CS degree. The AI courses I did seemed more stats than anything else.
