Default Question on the History Admissions/written tests page

How accurate is the page? That is, if a college does not have a "preparatory study", is this completely true in practice, or is it the case that sometimes the college will just introduce sources/passages DURING the interview rather than while you're waiting in the hall outside?

Also, how are the "tests at interview" usually like? I was going to apply to colleges that don't require those...but if they are like Pembroke's (just a one hour test contrasting two sources) it may not be so bad. As long as they're nowhere near as stressful as Oxford's HAT.
