I applied to manchester, cambridge, imperial....
and ended up choosing manchester as my firm

the three of them are really good....though if u want the normal Meng course Cambridge and Imperial are the best...
But Manchester has a really good Meng program with a year in industry

says who? personally I was impressed with what they were offering, particulary of the fact it has extensive international links, i.e. for studying engineering abroad, and the fact you can take work placements in the holidays.

how does that make it better, all the other unis especially in that table have all those things. anyway, each to his own.

what he said ^
also if you're interested in work placements, Manchester is one of the only universities that let's you take a year in industry and still finish your Masters degree in 4 years.
And you can take work placements in the summer in any university...
