    - Message from The Speaker -

    Introduction

As you probably know I have been elected as the new Speaker. I would like to pay tribute to Metrobeans who has, I'm sure we all agree, been exceptional in the role and also offer my commiserations to toronto353 who ran a strong and worthy campaign. I would also like to extend an open invitation to all members inviting you to let me know if there are any specific improvements, changes or additions to the house that you feel would be beneficial and which I can consider pushing for with the admin and moderation team. You can either do this via the Ask the Speaker thread or by sending me a personal message. Once I have received my permissions I will make sure I am abreast of any development decisions made in my absence and will try to provide you with a realistic assessment of the likelihood that your idea can be implemented. Of course, if the suggestions regard something I control then I shall (hopefully) provide you with a more definite answer. Thus I can avoid the promised seppuku!

    Relevant Threads

The Deputy Prime Minister (toronto353) will be answering your questions this week: here.

Also, there is a meet happening on the 1st September. You can see here for the relevant details. Everyone is welcome to attend and feel free to bring friends if they are not dickheads.

    Other Stuff

This is stolen shamelessly from CJ's signature but I found it rather amusing so thought I would include it here:
    :D

    Lots of love,

    Paddy
