Anybody know what we put as our term time address for bank/insurance details etc? Thanks
The address you got from the accommodation office.
It'll be something like:
John Smith
XXX College
University of York
YORK
YO10 5DD
Apart from Alcuin, which is YO10 5NB (I think), and you should put your block in above your college, because the postman actually delivers to your block, rather than the porters' lodge.

Your address should be printed on the letter confirming which room/college you were allocated. For the central colleges (Goodricke, Vanbrugh, Langwith, Derwent) post gets delivered to the porters' lodge. For the non-central ones (Halifax, James, Fairfax House, Eden's Court, Derwith extension) it gets delivered to your block/house/flat, in which case you need to put the block letter as well as the college name on your address and you'll have a separate postcode (Halifax is 5ES, no idea about the others).
