uni inquiries concerning economics/business!!!

couple of inquiries concerning univeristy degrees/courses concerning economics/business.

1) can you do an economics degree without A-level maths? (moreover specifically, can I do a 'bsc economics' degree'? )

2) business studies at a-level is soft.....but is a business degree soft? ie. doing 'business management at Aston.

3) Some uni's allow students to do 'accounting and finance' degrees without A-level maths. But does this degree limit my career options only to 'accounting'?

4) what other careers can i go into with my A-levels (history, economics, litertaure, sociology)? does my options allow me to go into economics/business, or will they restrict me?

ANY ADVICE APPRECIATED
1) i dont think you can do a bsc without maths, but you can do a ba like in exeter

1) No.

2) Erm, doubt it. Do a joint degree (E.g: Economics + Management).

3) It limits it, but it doesn't mean you won't get a job in other sectors (depending on your A Levels.)

4) Law, journalism, economic advisor etc etc.

Word of advice: Do maths a level. It opens all doors.

hmmm....

I chose my options bearing in mind I want to do law. But just as a back up I thought i could go into economics.

how highly is loughborough and aston ranked? I can do bsc economics or/and accounting there, without A-level maths.

Loughborough is pretty good for Economics- top 15 I would say. Not too sure about Aston (I think it has a good business school but isn't so good for Economics)

Loughborough is a top uni. I believe it was voted university of the year. Aston is also a very good university, it has a good reputation for Business.

Check out TAELT 2009 thread from my sig.
But most of the good places e.g. above AAB.2 want maths.

TAELT has Loughborough in position 23.
Aston does not appear as it does not offer straight economics.
