Anyone know where I can get past papers for physics OCR (including mark scheme). Ive got my exam tomorrow, so a quick reply would be appreciated  Tbh, I just need the mark schemes because Ive got many Past papers, just no answers to check
Thanks

Hi, i'm doing wave properties too.

One question.

Speed in medium 1
3*10^8ms^-1

Speed in medium 2
1.9*10^8ms^-1

Refractive index for light passing from medium 1 to medium 2 = 1.58?

yes... refractive index = speed in medium leaving/speed in medium entering

1 other quick question.
Why is a large critical angle needed for data transmission?
Suggest why a large critical anglem results in a weak light pulse travelling down the core.

Yes as n = Vi / Vr

1.) for total internal refraction to occur
2.) travels further so loses strength
thanks a lot el stevo.
El Stevo
1.) for total internal refraction to occur
2.) travels further so loses strength

And it's basically because there is a greater portion of light totally internally reflected

lol Im not doing wave properties, but if I remember correctly, isnt it also to prevent light escaping the actual wire? But back to my original question, any mark schemes
Good luck to all tomorrow!

I wanted to do nuclear or telecommnications but they chose health because its supposed to be the least demanding  still quite interesting though
Yo chats, el stevo.
What marks did you get for wave properties physics and p1 maths?
Reply 16
p1 maths - 100%
wave properties physics - 72% - messed up the practical...
