I strongly advise you move into Elms in first year. It's great fun, and is the best way to make new friends.

Yet more issues with my late reference.......my old manager for some reason can't write a personal reference....and has instead offered to print off something........grrrr sooo hard to think that my place at the minute rests on me sorting this stupid reference out.

wonder if they'd let me change and get someone else who has the sense to realise a character reference is necessary......so stressed not good

I went for my health check and it turns out I'm missing some vacinations, apparently you need 5 polio jabs and I only have 3! No idea how that happened. So need to go to my doctor and do that. The nurse ticked fit to enroll though so it's grand.
Where do you work before Jason? It seems crazy they won't write you a reference it only takes five minute, is there anyone that can do it for you?

I worked in Boots before.......its weird my manager was more than willing to give me a reference.....left my form in for her and then she phoned me to say she culdn't give me a character reference but she could give me an employment one......rang the registry office to ensure they'd reccieved it this time and the woman said they'd recieved it and din't mention any issues so fingers crossed its grand

They'll contact you by post so just have to wait till your hear something from them they'll have a lot of people to get through.

As for the bursary everyone doing nursing at queens for first and second year follow the diploma route and therefore you're eligible for a non means tested bursary which works out at around about 600 a month possibly a bit less. You get the bursary within the first week of starting i believe though it could take a few weeks. This is all info i've gathered by talking to a fw friends who are doing nursing.

Yup i did Psychology i personally think that was a bad choice because it might affect my chances, i could visualise my self getting a B,C,D.... and it woul be like damn!

They are out while late this year, 20th of August! A while wait!

Has everyone done their healthcheck who needs one by now? I need to get some vacinations but my local nurse can't see me until 1st July! It's so annoying because this is the last thing I need to do and then I'm definitely in and I'm just worried that if I leave it too long they may think I've decided I don't want to do the course

Okay i rang them up and they said that not everyone needs a health check so if u havent been contacted yet then its more than likely that you dont need to go in.

Good luck with everyones results n all that jazz.

It should be grand Shona the staff for admissions seem great like i was given 3 weeks to get my reference, they'd give you plenty of notice if they had any intention of withdrawing their offer.

Had my medical yesterday and passed it ....so only police check left and then unconditional offer should be sent.

Met up with one of my friends who started adult in february there and she was telling me about the course i'm rather excited
