i am having trouble with the immunisations part of the occupational health form....think i may have to make a trip to my doctors

Jason just go to Dr and get a print out from them, they shold do it then and there, make sure they sign or stamp it though. I don't think it's crucial to your application, but the occupational health dept will probably give you all immunusations again if you can't prove the ones you got.

I had my interview guys and I don't think i did so well. I defo don't think I have gained 35 points.. not a chance. The panel was really nice though, i had a man and a woman but the woman asked all of the questions and the man just wrote.

Questions asked (childrens nursing):
Why nursing?
What do you know about the course?
What is currently having an effect on the health service?
What is your biggest achievement?
What was the most challenging thing you ever done?
What was my placement like at a local special school?
What are the daily activities of a nurse?

I think i screwed up the health service one as i started to talk about Jade Goody and then about how there is a link with women working night shift and their more at risk of breast cancer.

Aww the questions are rather specific aren't they. I am sure you have done totally okay though, relflecting back on nervous things such as interviews usually result in exaggerating negativity lol

For the interview you get marked out of a total and there are certain totals which you have to meet in order to pass the interview for each branch of nursing childrens requriing the higgest and disability the lowest( or so it was a few years ago according to a queens document online)

For the health service thing i would have discussed something such as the dispatches thing that was on last night.....or government targets.

For the biggest achievement, I said would be that I was Deputy Head Girl in fifth year and then she went on to ask what my role was like as Deputy Head Girl.
For the most challenging thing you have ever done, I said that it was once when I was in my placement I went to the nurses station and there was a child that came in who was screaming in pain and I said that I found it very hard to watch but I knew I had to stay and that it is not the right thing to do with a challenge but to take it on. Then she sort of gave me a lecture that I would be dealing with children who were in pain and that I would defo need to overcome that, so I don't know what way they sort of took it. eeek.

Yea Jason, I think I had a fair idea that what I said was wrong. I think they knew that I didn't really know because I paused for a good minute or so to try and think of something and then came out with that stupid answer!! But its over and there is nothing I can do about it now other than wait and see what happens.

I had my interview last friday, definatly the hardest interview ive ever had! soo many questions and youve no idea wealther they like the answer or not. dreading getting the letter from them now really dont think ill get an offer...
