Year 12s: what will be the first way you research your future options? >>

Just a quick question.

If on the nottingham track system it says 'Your application is currently being considered by the admissions tutor and we hope to have a decision for you shortly' do you reckon that means ill get a decision pretty soon because its with the tutor? or is that just the standard message thats there when they receive your application?

I'd guess it's just their generic acknowledgement, and they'll keep us waiting a while.

Yeah i reckon it probably is.
Also it says the average ucas tariff for my course is 405 :| but the course requirements is ABC-BBB so that number seems ridiculously high. Ah well.

It's almost definitely a generic comment, just supposed to allay those who are becoming impatient with hearing nothing.

And as they say, the tariff is simply the average number of points current students had/have; they do not operate on a points system.

Haha count yourself lucky - the average tariff for mine is 480!
