Please HELP me to choose final course!

Hello chaps...

I'm having such a hard time choosing a subject at the moment. Environmental science, earth science, earth system science, biology, geography, biogeography, physical geography Ect... I'm getting bombarded with names of course's and I’m feeling quite lost.
My personal statement is finished and I’d quite like to send my UCAS application off this weekend.

So far my choices include:

Lancaster: Earth and Environmental Science
Manchester: Earth Science
Manchester: Environmental Science
Leeds: Earth System Science

My interests’ lie primarily with: Oceanography, Hydrology, Glaciology, Atmospheric Sciences (Meteorology, Climatology), Biology (Ecology/Environment) and aspects of Geology.

Please point me in the direction of my perfect course, what course would you advise me to take? Are any of the course's I have chosen at the moment a little off?

Surprisingly I have looked into this an awful lot, perhaps I’m getting anxious at the thought of making a final decision...

Any help is VERY much appreciated. Sorry to keep it short and sweet but I’m in a rush to leave the house.

It depends what you have specifically mentioned in your personal statement, I guess. Remember that it must show your enthusiasm for the course you are applying for; generic comments will probably not be looked upon kindly.

However if you are happy with your personal statement, and you have mentioned all of those interests to some extent in there then applying for any of those specialised courses may be a good idea.

Southampton has an interesting looking course, that you may like, called "BSc Oceanology with Geography" (Code = F8F7). Here is a link to their website for more infomation... http://www.soton.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/2009/geography/BSc_Geography_with_Oceanography.html

Southampton also has "BSc Geography with Geology" (Code = FF68). Again this mixes one of your key interests with a broader and more diverse geography base. Link = http://www.soton.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/2009/geography/BSc_Geography_with_Geology.html

Judging by what you have written you definitely want a primarily physical geography course, so a BSc Geography somewhere else may also work, although you will be expected to do some human modules, especially in the first year.

It might help to give me an idea of your grades and also whether you want a safety choice, a higher choice or just a normal one, as it were.

Hope these few ideas helped at least a bit.
Yeah I was just about to say Southampton
