Where do you even work that someone would try and impress you being from Edinburgh Uni?

I'm not completely sure but I think most of this sort of finace comes through on the first day of your course?

Just been Paid! I hold my face expression in great esteem whenever I get paid!

=D
I have an unwanted, brand new copy of FHM I got free with the music magazine I actually wanted to buy and don't know what to do with it.

Should I leave it somewhere in the library for someone to take? You can try and find it if you want. It'll be like 'Where's Wally?' but with tits.
Hey,

Any lawyers lurking about here at all?

Just wondering if I could ask about study abroad?....

Do law firms really care if you study abroad at a less prestigious uni or are they more interested in the fact that you've been eager to live abroad and can adapt and handle such a move?

Just wondering as some of the unis I am considering aren't close to Glasgow in terms of academic prestige - and was just wondering more about grade conversions as well - is the process normally quite fair?

Thanks

It's the only thing on each page. I think he lost the love of it when he was doing porn.

I'm abroad right now. I think my host uni is ok.

But I think it's more about the experience and more importantly how you convey the experience to any potential employer. I actually asked about this in the Freshfields thread and they more care about hearing what you gained from it all.

Thanks for your help! I was just a bit concerned as Tilburg for example isn't the best uni in Holland - but then they organise a lot of ec stuff for international students which is really good. Are you enjoying being abroad just now? and are you away for a year or a semester? 3rd year honours options at Glasgow are pretty limited so I'm keen to get away for more choice.

Thanks

Erasmus. Any way to claim for travel specific money? Flights there and home etc.

Yep, we got a form in the beginning with to claim for insurance and travel. No idea where mine went though, or where I got it from in the first place, but I'm sure Lisa Broadwell will get back to you within 30 - 60 days about it.
I passed my first exam on Erasmus today! Italian examiners are bastards though, he sat playing a game on his phone while I spoke and laughed every time I made a mistake, was heartening.

It's not quite the right time, but I know the CU have just started a weekly badminton drop-in that's open to everyone, on a Friday 18.00-19.00... if you can't find a partner on your own, there'll be spare people there!

If i was there I would come, even though I don't really know the rules and tend to just leap around trying desperately to reach the shuttle.

I remember there being such a backlash that I doubt they'll try it again soon  Plus I think once you've started it they needed to let you complete it (might be wrong though). French is in no danger though, it was the smaller subjects like Italian and Polish. Not sure if Russian comes under that. But anyhoo I think you'd be safe starting in 2013. I can vouch for the French department, they're brilliant, but I've not heard much about Russian.
