I can empathise. My school organised a mock interview with some Cambridge grad, it helped in terms of preparation but has made me even more nervous about the interview.

An entire weekend?! Did your school organise it?


Yep. Was really good of them, they really do loads of stuff for us Oxbridge people, but then everyone else gets sort of dropped at the wayside. It wasn't just interviews either, it was loads of fun stuff, orienteering and the like (we discovered arts students > science students at anything involving a map).

I think my year got lucky as well, as we've had far more help than people who left last year did, and from what I hear no other school (that I know of, or where my mates go) puts half as much effort in as mine does. Even the head, who normally associates with the head boy and no-one else in the school, offered to help us out with interviews.

I realise that this sounds quite snobby, but I will add that my school is in Croydon.
