I really need help on how to revise for Sociology, I got my mocks in December but I want to go through all the topics thoroughly and do exam practice from November. My target grade is an A, my end of unit tests I got As-Cs about. I find it difficult to study for Sociology as there is so much to learn. I tried doing mind-maps but they werent very useful, I done questions on the notes on the book which might work well if I remember it all, is there any methods you can suggest?

Are you doing AQA?

As for revision, don't u think its a bit too early? if your doing AQA our real exam isn't untill 16th of June. Don't worry about ur mocks, it doesnt matter what you get and you'll just stress urself out revising for them. But then again if you really want that A*(85%) in this exam u might as well go for it. Personally im aiming for an A(70%).

What did you do for coursework? and What did you get?(grade)

If you are doing AQA, then they have some past exam questions on their website which are helpful ....

as for revision I usually just read over notes and learn key terms, it's probably not that helpful advice but seriously don't get too worried they are just mocks. Ask your teacher for some extra notes and books.

I'm aiming for an A/A* so yea round 70-80% or higher as you said. I handed my coursework in last year, my teacher still hasnt marked it but thats first draft so I'm going to work on it till I get an A. The reason I want to achieve highly for the mocks is because it's good practice and you know you are studying right and it'll help in the future for the real exams. I chose the topic: 'The subjects chosen at GCSE and the gender related to it', something along those lines is what my coursework is about.

Yesterday, I was really stressed and then later in the evening I got just started working not worrying about anything and got a lot done, guess it was just worry.

i'm not doing my mocks in november. i'm doing some REAL GCSE's in november .

My bad December I meant, I have my Maths Real GCSE, was probably thinking about that.

You actually can take gcses in November. Maths, English and science modules. The people who failed from the year previously (now lower sixth) resit them on the same day. My mocks are a week after the maths exam.
