Default Critical Thinking

What is the trick in doing well in Critical Thinking; how many past papers, hours of revision, what textbooks you did etc... and can you get an A if you self teach it?

I would probably say you can get an A if you self teach it, but only certain people could do that, ie. u must have a certain amount of natural 'thinking' ability in you. If you find you often get high marks in work, then perhaps concentrate less on it than your other subjects, but just see how u go really. The key to a lot of A grade critical thinkers is that they are naturally good at the skills required to do well in the subject, and then just expand on it.

I don't really think that textbooks or hours of revision help in Critical Thinking. It's a very difficult subject, and you need to have a natural ability for it. Basically, you can either do it if you can't. Past papers though, are very good practice and I would recommend doing as many of them as possible.
I'm retaking CT this year, I got a C in the AS when I was in Year 11 last year, but I didn't really take it seriously, so I need to put more effort.

You need an ability to write fast in the exams and think logically. Revision is of limited use.

Yes probably.

Do all the critical think papers you can - ITS THE BEST THING TO DO

You don't need to do much revision, but you need to go through lots of markschemes, and read through the crit think text book making some notes.

RAVEN!

Roy Van der Brink Budgen I think was the biggest author

Good luck - take a module or two in Jan - you may as well
