I've started my A2 English Lit coursework, where I've got to write this ridiculously 3000 word essay, but i dont know how to gain high marks on how to write about critical interpretations...any ideas please?

Cheers

critical interpretations means to look at things from different view points. So for example the symbol of the "moon" could be a metaphor for womanhood, but also for madness. You have to analyse and evaluate these views also.

Sometimes it's just like writing a play with your imagination.

The teacher hasn't given us the essay question yet, but the books we're doing are Dubliners by James Joyce and Short Cuts by some guy called Raymond
