Default General Studies!

What is everyones view of General Studies?

Completely pointless and a waste of time or actually a quite interesting subject which will probably benefit us in the end?

For me: we study some general things, and then fall asleep.

General things include: Politics and little bits of History-ish and sociology bits, and bits and bobs like that.

Is basically what the title says 'general' studys, so all things from morality to politics to science etc. but we are forced to do it at most sixth forms, it is made compulsory so I was just wondering what people thought of it...

What different types of things are actually studied in "general studies"?
Somebody I know said they got a question on Postman Pat in their exam.

It's completely random most of the time. We've been given a few practise past questions, which have included really specific questions such as about the workings of a train, or much more general about violence in TV programmes.

I don't have to take the lessons, I actually kind of enjoy the exams though. I'm good at exams, I like comprehension-type questions. ^_^
