Yup. He was useless, and today it says UK military said Geogians fired first. Russia did well to stop them.

On the South Ossetians? Quite right too. They had a paramilitary group which illegally attempted to secede. I should expect any state would shoot at such a group.

They did, and killed Russian peacekeepers. Hence Russia charging in, which any state would do to protect their own people.
