Basicly my boyfriend and I don't like using condoms as it kills the mood etc, I'm on the pill and have been for 2 years we have both been tested for sti's and are both clear.
How many of you rely on just the pill as the only contraceptive? I have had sex with him a few times without a condom but im still a bit paranoid about becoming pregnant. I'm on microgynon 30 I have never missed a pill just sometimes take them at different times (a couple hours difference) also I was thinking I might get the implant has anyone got any expirences with this?

I use just the pill, as long as you continue to take it correctly (a couple hours difference probably wont hurt, i think you have a 3 hour window) you should be fine.

When I was on microgynon 30 I missed a pill and had to follow the 7 day rule, and the condom broke - when I went to the pharmacist for the morning after pill she said it's not risky unless you miss 2 or 3 pills in a row, because it's so strong.

If you read the leaflet you get with it it'll say how likely you are to get pregnant if you're using it as your sole contraceptive. It's a tiny percentage.

I'm on the same pill as you. Me & my boyfriend were both virgins when we first had sex so knew we were both clean so we have never bothered using condoms unless I'm on antibiotics.
As long as your religious in taking your pill then you should be fine...I always have been

I was on the same pill as you are and didn't use condoms with my boyfriend.

I moved on to Cerazette about a year ago and was advised to use condoms aswell for about 14 days to allow my body to get used to it. We are still using condoms.

I was on microgynon 30 too (still am) and didn't use condoms with the boy under the same circumstances as you. I wasn't even that religious with mine (never missed them, but didn't take them at the same time or anything.. that's only really hugely important with the minipill although still good practice) and never had any issues.

You'll be fine. Whats the point of taking the pill if your also using condoms, both of which are >97% effective? As long as its taken every day you should be fine. If you miss one then make him pull out for 2 days.

with my longterm boyfriends i generally just rely on the pill...though i ensure that we are both clean beforehand. if you miss one, are sick, are on antibiotics then use condoms too, but as long as your both clear from sti's then its fine, and lets be honest, way more enjoyable!!
