Default Anyone had any experience of this or have any advice on what to do???

At the end of August, i got really bad toothache - so in the end had to book an emergency appointment at the walk-in clinic in our local town. They told me that i had a badly broken tooth, so put me on Ibuprofen, Penecillin, Amoxicillin and Co-Codamol, and said that they would send me a follow-up appointment to see the consultant and then have the tooth removed.

Anway i got my follow-up appointment to see the consultant (the man who was going to take my tooth out) which was on Wednesday this week. But a few weeks before i had to go to this, i got a gum-boil on my gum next to the tooth. On Wednesday i had an X-Ray and was prescribed some more antibiotics until this morning (Friday) when i would have the extraction.

So i've had the extraction and all went swimmingly - considering how scared i was.

The thing is - looking at my gum even though i've had the tooth out - the gum-boil is still there Plus the tooth above the infected one which i've had removed seems to have started throbbing a little bit - like not really bad toothache or anything and there's no sign of decay, but there has been a dull ache in it.

When should i expect the gum-boil to disappear?? And why would the tooth above the one i've had removed now be throbbing on and off??

I have no idea as I'm not a dentist but if you have any ulcers/boils or similar in your mouth then I'd recommend you brush with corsodyl, that stuff has cleared up any sore i've ever had

Hope it get's better soon

Thanks. I'll see if i can get out and get some of that tomorrow.

Have a thumping headache to go with the dull ache and gum-boil now too. Haha, i thought having the tooth out this morning was the end of it all.
