In german, would saying 'i prefer' count as an opinion? i know that their is meiner meinung nach, but i was wondering if saying i prefer would also count as an opinion?

"I prefer" doesn't sound particularly German to me.:p:
Seriously, though, I suppose you might argue that expressing a personal preference is an indirect way of expressing a personal opinion, but I wouldn't say it's the same thing (neither in German nor in any other language).
