Default MORSE/MMORSE + Further Mathematics

How important is having full A Level Further maths in order to get into warwick for MORSE or MMORSE

I will only have further maths AS

Will they consider the fact that im doing FP1 and FP2 and FP3 is all i'm missing out on in terms of pure maths modules

Thank you

If you did the full A2 further maths, you would have to meet a lower offer, but some people come onto MORSE without further maths at all, so its not a bad thing don't worry. If you got an offer then it would probably be AAA with an a in your as further maths.

You certainly have a better chance than people without any further maths at all. Plus FP1, FP2 and FP3 are the most useful modules from further maths for uni mathematics!

Good luck

thanks, most useful comment i've needed so far... i'm going to have morse/mmorse as my goal now, hopefully i can get an A in maths and further AS

[this is probably a silly question and you dont need to answer it , FP3 is the only one i'll be missing in the end... however if i tell the admissions at warwick that im planning to learn FP3 in the summer before going to university, will they i) believe me ii)take it into account?] !!

I guess you could put it on your personal statement, but to be honest, they are going to be giving you an offer based on your actual assessed qualifications. Obviously I can't say anything for definite about how they give their offers out though!!

It would be a good thing to say because it shows you're committed, and also it will keep your maths up through the summer which will help with the diagnostics test in the first week of term 1!

(FYI, I did A2 further maths and didn't do FP3 so they are unlikely to fault you for not doing it in AS f maths)
