I never like to lose in an argument.

And to be honest, I think you need to do more sums, cause if you come to your exam like that, you would lose 4 marks for something like that.

*Actually I think the majority of people need to do LOTS of sums. lol.

i believe that lollipop is right.

I have worked examples right infont of me, and they are all correct. Maybe its the layout, but they are definietly correct

In completed square form it is 52 - (x+7)^2

f'(x) = 0 so 2x = -14 so x = -7 so y = 52.

ok, i found x on my own by solving that linear equation, because f'x = 0 is the value of x we need to find the minimum y coordinate value, but how on earth did you find y after this?

you plug the x that you found back into the formula
