I smoke quite infrequently, probably 1 or 2 a day. Usually, if I smoke one cigarette, I'm usually fine, I don't start to feel sick or anything. However, if I have 2 or more in the space of an hour, I will start to feel quite sick, and while I never actually have been sick, it can take a while for the feeling to go and can be quite uncomfortable. It also can vary depending on brand, for example, I rarely have ever felt sick smoking Menthols, even if it's more than 1 in a short space of time.

    Any idea why this is?

Because you're voluntarily releasing poison into your body, maybe?

I used to gag every three drags or so but I realised that it was actually because I was yawning at the same time as toking, true story lulz.

I don't know why you feel sick. You might want to change brands?

You are at the next stage of evolution my man! Darwin would be proud.

Your body is now able to tell you not to smoke in ANOTHER way, as if the cancers, coughing and whatever else wasn't enough!

Here's a thought... If it's making you feel sick perhaps you just shouldn't bother? Unless of course you enjoy feeling sick and looking like a **** It's not worth the hassle mate.

PS. Smoking every day is hardly infrequent

Cigarettes, like anything good in life, are an acquired taste. One must build up a certain resilience in the first place before one can enjoy a full binge.

Increase your consumption (probably only modestly) and the entry-level hurdles will soon drop.
