Default Geology A-Level

My school is restarting Geology A-Level. Has anybody done the course and would like to give me some advice? I am currently in year 11 and thinking of doing Maths, Chemistry, Physics and possibly Geology. Thanks.

Hi! I do WJEC geology and I am in my A2 year now. In addition, I take biology, chemistry and physics. I treat it as my 'fun' subject although it is still hard work. The WJEC AS exams are worded in the most awful way but they improve at A2.
Bear in mind that A-level geology is not required if you want to study for a geology degree at university. However, I enjoy it because it ties in lots of aspects of other sciences. And rocks are cool
Feel free to ask me if you have any specific questions.

Thanks very much for the reply. I'm interested to know whether universities recognise geology as an 'A-level'? Because I have some doubt whether they treat geology like a 'soft' subject like general studies and business studies.

Geology probs wont be as "respected" as chem or physics but it deff wont be looked at as the same way as general studies or media studies, Geology is basically bits of every science so will be reasonably well respected.... well ive found anyway

What do you want to do at uni? if its Geology then having it at A level will help alot!

Will the combination of choice with geology be important? Again; maths, chemistry, physics, geology sounds ok... but I'm also considering doing some further maths as I am already doing C1 + C2 for FSMQ.

Geology doesn't seem to be 'blacklisted' or seen as a 'soft subject' by any universities, as far as I know. It combines well with maths or science subjects, although a lot of people in my class are arts/humanities students looking to broaden their subject choice with something sciencey.
