Hi all, hope you hear back soon.

Does anyone remember the numbers they gave of how many people get to each stage?

I remember they said something like:

    13000 apply
    4500 do interviews
    400 go through to AC.

    is that right?

    thanks

I've heard that as well, but when I booked my AC centre there were only around 50 something places left on each day, and I booked it about an hour after they put the announcement up on facebook. So unless 300 people had already booked their places I don't see how that's possible

Perhaps they seperate out ACs based on the course you applied for (ie so youd only see a fraction of all the ACs); i know other employers do it like that?

    Thanks for the confirmation

From what I understood, about 13000 started the online application, 4,500 completed it along with the numerical and verbal reasoning tests; 1000 were called for the interview, out of which 300 are called for the AC and 150 are recruited

    Hi

Its so hard to say how it went...the wait is killing me. How has the 2 years been? Are you guarenteed a job?

Whilst you can't be guaranteed a job at the end of it, the managers notify you of all potential jobs and circulate your details nationally so you are known throughout the scheme. As the scheme tends to take fewer numbers than it did a few years ago, it also increases the possibility of finding a job within the NHS afterwards. I don't leave the Scheme for another year yet but a lot of my cohort in different specialisms are getting plenty of interviews already. I've even found myself being headhunted by other organisations whilst on the scheme so finding a job afterwards can be less of a challenge than getting onto the scheme in the first place!

They won't guarantee you a job but they will do everything they can to find you one. Coming up to the end of the scheme they circulate your CV profile to managers within the areas you want to find a job in and I was offered a job by another trust based on my CV which was focused on what I had learnt and achieved during my time on the scheme. In the end however I took a job at the trust I did my placement at because it was more suited to what I wanted to do. Like any job if you work hard and prove your worth you will be fine

It feels like I started this thread about 10 years ago!

What has happened to the people who actually got onto/completed the scheme?

    Hi all,

Have just taken the 4 online tests. 3 of them were absolutely fine but I found the maths one really tough. I only completed 11 questions and think I got about 6/11 correct.

Does anyone know how they 'weight' the tests? Do we have to 'pass' all 4 tests or do they look at your scores as an 'overall package'?

    Thanks
    Hope

Hey, just want to ask what type of questions were on the numerical test? Those tests are my absolute downfall and I want to be at least somewhat prepared for the questions

I found the maths one really tough too! I didn't even nearly finish it. I applied for this two years ago too and got two interviews but failed at the assessment centre! So don't worry too much!

The other two tests are just a personality tests and a situational judgement test.

For the maths one, just take the clues from the practice questions. I doubt anyone will give you specifics on here.

    Good luck

Sweet lord. Just finished the numerical and verbal reasoning, saving the other two for tomorrow.

Verbal reasoning was pretty run-of-the-mill, the numerical reasoning...there aren't words. Completed just over half and I'm pretty good at numerical stuff, I'm sure it must have been intentionally over difficult. 20 questions in 20 minutes and all that information?
