Re: The Political CompassMy thoughts exactly. I use linux with non-proprietary software on my P.C. mind I'm not on my P.C. right now, But still, where available I use Linux, openoffice etc...(Original post by Lampshade)
I'm surprised that someone with your political views is using proprietary software like MS office.. -
Re: The Political CompassI do use openoffice tbh. Why pay for something if I can get something that will do the same job for free(Original post by DayneD89)

. Thankfully, there is no political motive behind my software choices. If the makers of openoffice funded torture in guantanamo bay and killed babies, I'd still use it to save my pocket.

Re: The Political Compass(Original post by Lampshade)
It's just that usually, you socialists tend to go the whole hog with your lifestyle choices so they conform to your political views. Apologies for the generalisations that my mind makes.
Nope, I drink Coke, and work for a company that makes money, and I vote in bourgeois democratic elections. I don't believe in boycotting for boycotting's sake.

Re: The Political CompassI would, but I can't be bothered with the inherent inconvenience to that approach(Original post by Lampshade)

Re: The Political CompassI'd be more worried by how far 'up' the authoritarian/libertarian scale some of your members are...(Original post by UniOfLife)
I must say I'm a little concerned at how extreme all the Socialists seem to be. Is the test skewed?
I dunno, mine feels pretty right and is what I've been consistently scoring for a few years now. My economic scale tends to float in the 9 range, and my libertarianism between 8 and 9... -
Re: The Political CompassWell if you only ever take this one test consistency doesn't tell us very much. But I mean, look at DG, he's nowhere near as extreme on the scale as I would have expected which implies some skew in the results.(Original post by Alasdair)

Anyone know of any other similar tests for comparison purposes? -
Re: The Political CompassOh, I quite agree. Which is why the copy of MS Office on my home computer is pirated.(Original post by Lampshade)

I'd rather do interesting things on a computer than spend years setting it up tbh.
