how is the science and engineering programme like (foundation course) ??
    thanx.
Friends of mine that have done the course found it enjoyable and relatively simple. But you can see how the modules are set out here if you haven't already checked it out.

    Hope that helps.

Transfers to Law would be very unlikely. Politics, however, are more open to transfers.

Would you really ever sleep under a used duvet? Even with a new cover that's gross.

They really don't check for guests in anyway. Obviously, if your flatmates complain then they'll know.

I wouldn't advise taking any guests in the first week - it is about getting to know everyone there. Having a guest will stop you from getting fully involved because you'll fall back on them.

Some Fresher's events have limited tickets and guests will not be allowed - it'd be a bit unfair to let guests in and someone be left out because of it.

Would only be in the evenings as the gues is working here for a couple of days.

I'm not really into partying too much to be honest... so would make a super effort during the day.

Still partying or not, most of the socialising is done in the evening. During the day you have things like registration and course meetings to go to. Not saying you won't make friends during this time but I still recommend going out at nights. I'm not a drinker so going out to clubs and stuff can be a bit of a drag, but I did it anyway and it was much to my benefit.

How old is the guest? If they're of a similar age then I don't expect there to be any problems, aside from the fact your flatmates may want to party till the early hours, your guest might not get much sleep!!

Just asking about the residences, Particularly Pooley House..

Do you definatly get an oven in the kitchen?

How are the flats set up? Is it just the kitchen/diner with 4-9 rooms branching off of it?

    Yes.

Yep, usually each flat is one kitchen and a corridor with 4-10 rooms.

With ovens be warned, the temperatures are a bit off, so its best not just to rely on what the packet/recipe says but check it a few times.
