chem eng- energy balance for a blower?

Hi,

i need to carry out an energy balance for a blower:confused: .. im not too sure how to do it and was wondering if any1 could offer some advice? ( i think i need to convert to kinetic energy, info i have is mass= 1600kg, flow rate= 5m/s, p = 2 bar)

If you type up the question it will help. You just seem to have stated random units:

It is like someomne saying; I need help with this keniematic question,

a = 50ms-2, d = 700m.

thats just it, i dont really have a written question,everything ive written is all i have been told,

i guess maybe first thing i need is the equation to work out kinetic energy, from the information i have (mass & flowrate) . any ideas?

i was thinking along the lines of ke = 1/2 mv2, where ke =kin energy, m= mass, v = velocity

but i dont know what to do after that?

Pressure in a fluid can be seen to be a measure of energy per unit volume by means of the definition of work. This energy is related to other forms of fluid energy by the Bernoulli equation.

P = F/A = Fd/Ad = Energy/Volume.
