another 'urban legend'?

Nothing as exciting as the subject might suggest, but someone on this site told me that Politics isnt really considered a serious subject to study at uni in the UK (Im French and here it is on the contrary a really good degree to have), like less that English or History would be(and which are sort of less well considered here)...so just checking this person was wrong right?

I think any of those subjects would be useful if you A. Do really well in them, and B. Are pursuing a career which would require you to be able to write papers and reports! That person was thus not as accurate in his/her judgement as originally thought :wink: I'm sure you're smart in wanting to study them :smile:

Politics is a well respected subject :smile: As is economics which you seem to be applying for as well.
