Is it possible to do the CIE A-level Maths course along with the Edexcel A-level Further Maths course?

For Edexcel, I have planned to do do FP1, S1 and M1 for 'AS', and FP2, FP3 and S2/D2 for 'A2'.

For CIE Maths, I am doing P1 and S1 for 'AS' and P3 and S2/M1 for 'A2'.

Not much of the syllabus is overlapping. Would this be acceptable?

Nope. Why would you want to do this?

Well, because I can't do the CIE Further Maths A-level. It requires you to have completed M2.

When you say not much overlaps that is clearly untrue since you list M1, S1 and S2 in both [and I don't think you can do D2 without studying D1]. I'm sure this would be unacceptable, no overlap is allowed. Contact Edexcel directly for clarification.

I had a classmate who wanted to do something (a bit) similar to this. It wasn't allowed.

Of course, I suppose you should contact them to make sure. Just in case there's a chance.

What's up with doing M2? It's not difficult. And from what I can see, the Edexcel maths course seems nicer. Well, the one I did last year was, although i think it's different this year........I believe for Edexcel Maths A level, you do C1, C2, C3, C4, and two applied so either M1, M2 or S1, S2 (at least that's how it is at my college). Then for further you do M3, S2, D1, FP1, FP2.
But anyhow, it's pointless doing some of the same modules twice (M1, S1, S2, etc.)
