Computer Science at Newcastle

There is a course at Newcastle which is called Computer Science Games and Virtual Environments. I was wondering if this is a proper Computer Science degree which has some elements of Games and Virtual Environments, or a degree in Games Design, labeled as a Computer Science degree?

First of all, please don't bump your threads (especially after only ten minutes). Also, you'll probably get a better response in the computer science courses subforum (this is academic help) or the Newcastle subforum.

Is so, it looks like a computer science degree, but has games as a specialisation. But I'm no expert.

Yeah it looks like regular CS but with a specialisation. It seems they are really just giving you a different degree title based on you module choices in year 3. It would be nice to see what the module choices are, but I suspect it's not all that relevant to games programming. But if it's a decent CS course then it wouldn't be a bad choice.
