How many past papers did you do in prep. for your AS's?
?
do you think it's possible to go into an exam, like Biology, without having done any past papers but confident you know and understand the content.
Especially with the new specs do you think it's hard and annoying looking for past paper questions for your exam; would you feel comfortable going into an exam without having done any past questions?
Those that have done their AS's how many past papers/questions did you do for them..(particularly would like experiences on subjects like Bio and Chem)
thanks

Re: How many past papers did you do in prep. for your AS's?
For Maths - I lost count
For Economics - most of the recent ones
For History - none
May I just add, that History ended up being my best AS subject, so there wasn't really a correlation between exam practice and performance - nevertheless, this not to say that practice papers should not be attempted! -

All we did for a few weeks before the biology exams was past papers and it really helped, because with some questions you need to answer them in a certain way, or give a really specific answer.
For chemistry I did about 1 per module and ended up with a D

Re: How many past papers did you do in prep. for your AS's?I did as many as I could get my hands on, I surfed the internet for ages trying to get as many as possible, I managed to find all the past papers going back to 2001. [The questions were harder back then] It must've helped because I did manage a rather respectable 556 in my biology exam.(Original post by Malsi101)

I would be scared and seriously underprepared if I didn't go into an exam without doing past papers. -

hmm, about 10++ i guess.
To me, any studies without practise isn't really complete. And doing past years provide the practise i need. Helps refresh you memory, promote more active learning and uhm, familiar yrself with the right way of answering questions and the style in which they ask questions?
