Re: The Official Birmingham City Society
I said: Chris Hughton is the best manager we've ever had and I really wish he wasn't leaving. But as a Bluenose I'll always support the team - managers and players come and go, but fans will be there forever!!!! Keep Right On!! (But the newsreader didn't say KRO)
I'm very sad

Re: The Official Birmingham City SocietyI watched the press conference and tbh as well as being sad, I was thinking....'god yellow doesn't suit you at all' it makes him look really weird...and not just because I'm used to seeing him in the Blues kit lol.(Original post by Schteve)
Just looks weird seeing him in yellow
Had the potential to become my favourite ever manager but hey ho, that's football.

Re: The Official Birmingham City Society
So much has happened since this thread was last active...
Clark has come, he seems nice and is keep to keep hold of Doyle, Redmond, Carr, Burke and Butland
Ben has gone to WBA
Mutch has gone to Cardiff 'the redbirds'
We may be getting a new owner
Pannu has actually told the truth for once
Opinions??? -
Re: The Official Birmingham City Society
Feeling positive about Lee Clark. Young and eager manager wanting to prove himself. Blues has proven to be a good platform for managers over the last decade and I think he see's this so him doing well with us will really boost his career. It's refreshing to see him talk about the premier league, last season Hughton kept on about 'competing' so comparing the 2 mind sets I think Clark has won on first impressions.
Foster, see you later. Not bothered to see him go. Same about Mutch, he was nothing special and easily replaced. If we believe Clark and Peter Pan then we made a good amount off him. The sale of these two will go a long way to balancing the books so it should be seen as a positive.
We need to keep hold of, redmond, butland, burke, davies and king though! -
Re: The Official Birmingham City Society
We really need a back-up left back and probably another right back too but other than that the squad is looking ok. Pretty awesome going to check how we're doing in our friendlies and finding out we've been banging them in

Another strong bunch of teams this year though, play-offs would be an achievement imho. -
Re: The Official Birmingham City Society
Well I agree but he's been brought in nonetheless
Obviously great having this amount of options in midfield/attack, but he doesn't strike me as being the kind of character you want in the dressing room.
Wish we could swap a few fringe midfielders for some fringe defenders
If Murphy breaks then we're in the brown stuff..

Re: The Official Birmingham City Society
Hi, I'm back! Delighted to hear that we've brought Ben Gordon in, from what I hear he's a quality left-back, very much in the mold of David Murphy, likes to get down the wing and try and score goals, great signing, hopefully we can get Mitch Hancox out on loan to someone

Re: The Official Birmingham City Society
Herro! I've also heard Gordon should be a very good back-up to Murphy so good stuff. Was getting worried watching us sign a billion midfielders and no defenders

Decent enough win against Barnet the other day then. Defence was very shaky though. Thought Will Packwood looked comfortable so hopefully he can benefit from going on loan to a League 2 club in the not-too-distant-future?
Charlton in a couple days too, I iz very excited!
