Bacteria that are lactose fermenting will turn pink in MacConkey Agar. Usually they will be E Coli/Enterobacter/Klebsiella.

Which choices of bacteria do you have?
i had E.coli, B subtilis and P.aeruginsoa. i know that the E.coli turns pink but i dont know why. thanks for the help.

Out of those it's E Coli, cause E Coli ferments lactose, hence turns pink in MacConkey agar which contains lactose :smile:
