I purchased some songs from itunes and now I can't transfer them onto my phone because they are protected MP4 files.
does anyone knows how to convert these files to MP3?
Either burn to CD and rip back or use some software to strip the file of the DRM (however this does leave you with the MP4 Problem).
I'd favour the first, as its simple.
Tip: Use the Amazon.co.uk service in future, unprotected MP3's at a higher bitrate.
You could redownload the files from somewhere else (thus getting rid of the appauling quality level iTunes gives you). I've never heard of MP4 being used as an audio format though, it's designed to be a video container.
