Default Eating disorder?

Please keep anon for obvious reasons.
For the last couple of years i've struggled to eat. I'm 23, male and my bmi is probably around 16.5, although it has been up to 18 and as low as 15.9. I dont enjoy food, its a struggle to eat and i only average 1000kcal a day probably, which is terrible considering i'm really tall. I desperatly want to gain weight but it never really happens, i either never keep it up or have excuses. My counseller suggested i may have an eating disorder, and this is sort of why i actually havent gained any weight. This was quite shocking really, and has made me question everything. I want to gain weight not lose it? Can anyone help me out?

as someone with experience, i wouldn't think you have an eating disorder if you're desperate to gain weight. it may be that you're just stressed or have disordered eating, which is different to an actual eating disorder. try and set meal times for yourself and eat good fat, healthy foods.

Well, what do you think is the reason that you struggle to eat? How do you feel about food?
