'Scary/Horror' films to watch with your girlfriend..

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

'Scary/Horror' films to watch with your girlfriend..
Hey, my girlfriend has told me quite a while ago she enjoys watching 'scary/horror' with me.. Of course. I know well why, but still - that's not the point!

I'm just wondering if anyone has any film ideas for scary/horror films? We've watched Prom Night I think it was? Which wasn't really that relatively scary, but she found it pretty traumatising and clinged onto me for dear life in bed, but oh well!

I tried one of the Saw films of the series and she couldn't handle it and told me to stick another one on! Haha.. Although I think she could handle it, was just being a bit of a tit.. :p:

So yeah, any decent and new (talking past 10 years, no old 70/80s horrors please.. :p:) films that are in the genre of scary/horror would be appreciated!

I was thinking of seeing if she wanted to watch the 2 Hostel films.. What you think?

    Cheers.

I think the best ones would be those from the late nineties, which were scary but not too gory:

    - Scream 1, 2 & 3
    - I Know (and I Still Know) What You Did Last Summer
    - Urban Legend 1 & 2
    - Halloween H20

Those were the best imo. Perfect girlfriend viewing material. :p:

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (don't care if it's old) or Psycho (I'm sure there's a lesser new version).

You may like House of 1000 Corpes

Any of the 90's/00's Korean/Japanese horror type films. They are truly ****-worthy. Western horrors are completely pathetic in comparison.

    CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST!

Banned in over 50 countries and still heavily cut in the UK. If she doesn't vomit by the end, she's most likely had a heart attack.

If she won't watch any of the Saw series films, I doubt she'd dare touch Cannibal Holocaust.. :p:

P.S. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is an exception as I love this film! I'll definately watch it with her Wednesday when she's at mine for the night next.

Just don't tell her. Simple. Say it's a documentary. That'll work. :yep:

Documentary!? I don't even watch them myself, let alone her.. She'd probably think it was boring.. :p:

She'd just turn it off though at the first sight of something so sick, haha.

It'll probably be Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Ok, try a romantic comedy chick flick! :p:

I'm messsing. TTCM is a fantastic choice. I'd suggest you see the original 1974 one however.

I have both the 1974 and 2003 versions, seen them both too.
