the JESUITS! they were given the province of Nagasaki by Japan. they were also very clever, as they adapted their missionary work to the societies they were evangelising to (music in south american cultures etc). Must have done somthing similar for the Japanese. Just done an essay on them. :yep:

You've no idea how exciting it is that i was able to reuse that knowledge by the way!:biggrin:
