Philosophy MA?

Hi,

I'm currently studying English and German, and as part of my German course this year, I've taken a class on modern European philosophy. I'm really enjoying it, and would love to carry on with it in some way.

This is sort of jumping ahead, but I was wondering if it would be possible to do a masters in philsophy, after doing a BA in something so unrelated? Would I be completely out of my depth? Would it be pointless?

I'm sure its fine. I know all institutes/colleges that offer MA Phil. at UoL make all the people with no experience of Philosophy before take the "general philosophy" paper as one of the three papers you choose to get examined in.

Not sure about the other unis, but im sure they have something similar.

Generally its Ok, provided you can prove you can cope with it. some places require you to have taken a certain amount of Philosophy befor doing a Masters.
