just moved into uk curriculum from American..starting year 12 super confused

the university example in hard materialism

My teacher wants me to write about the university example in my philosophy coursework but I can't find any usful info on it... does anyone know of anywhere I could get information like that or have any notes they could share.

Is that the one where someone asks where the university is after seeing all the faculties, accommodation etc? It's a mistake to look for something above and beyond the different parts of the university. I guess the analogy with hard materialism is that it makes no sense to look beyond the physical goings-on in the brain. Or something. I vaguely remember reading about this example but I can't remember whether it was in relation to materialism or not!
