I've already made a back up of the nokia's phone book, but the question is, how do i copy that from PC suite to Samsung's software in order to transfer them?

I gave up trying to do this when I made the reverse move, and did it by hand.

not sure you can to be honest as their different phone/software makers can you just save all to sim, put sim in new phone and then save all to the phone?

you might be able to 'send all contacts' from your sony erricons, to your samsung directly via bluetooth.

that takes years, and if you should be able to transfer them, as most phone makers use the same format to save numbers. and also if you had more than one number per person wouldnt work very well

Yeah, OP, move contacts to SIM, and then, voila, when you put the SIM in your new phone, your contacts are there.

If you're doing it on a PC, usually the way is via a PIM with contacts management like Outlook. Sync one phone to Outlook, then sync the other.

nah its such effort, and i have everyones birthdays, emails, home number, work number, as well as mobile number saved to contacts, and if your copying numbers to a sim card, it cant take anywhere near that amount of information

The problem with syncing them to outlook is the nokia phone is reaaally old (6510) so i don't think it syncs to outlook, i donno...I tried saving the contacts in a format the samsung software recognizes but still, no luck. I ended up transferring them by SIM, i didn't have alot of contacts that had multiple numbers under their name so it didn't take long to fix the grouping thing. Thanks for the replies anyways

I did move all my contacts from nokia n86nto samsung S2 By:
    - Using the 2 phones - connect them via bluetooth
    - mark all contacts on source (nokia)
    - Send business card to via bluetooth to the destination(galaxy s2)
    - wait untill done
    - hopefully it helps
